White Water Rafting

Tour in brief

Drivers in Sri lanka offers thrill-seekers the perfect white water rafting experience with its comprehensive day tour package. Your safety always comes first. We brief all our clients on paddling techniques and “man overboard” procedures before the tour.

The Kelani River offers up some of the most exciting white water sections for you to conquer. Feel the exhilaration as you shoot the rapids and experience the pure ecstasy of making it through the rocky sections in this white water adventure.

The crystal-clear waters of this river that stumbles through a rocky gorge just above Kitulgala will make for an interesting challenge for rafting amateurs and professionals.

Rafting through the boulders and rocks creates grade 2 to 3+ rapids.

As the river widens, you will be able to see the exact location used to film ‘The Bridge on the River Kwai’. This location is also ideal for a refreshing swim with its cool and inviting waters.

We also offer a flatter section of the lower gorge for those who want to enjoy the river and its surrounding beauty without having to navigate through the thrills and spills of large rapids. This option is ideal for children and family groups.

The white water rafting adventure ends further down the river close to the Kitulgala town.

Possible to add activities such as canyoning, waterfall abseiling (rappel down), rainforest walks, a visit to a prehistoric man’s cave or a rubber plantation.
